Crosstown Chippiness

It’s well known in this town that there’s very little love lost between Boston University and Boston College. That rivalry is showcased in crystal clear fashion whenever their top flight hockey teams square off on the ice.

Their latest tilt took place Sunday night, with the visiting then-No. 16 Terriers taking on the then-No. 2 Eagles at Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill. Penalties, fights and goals — for BU, anyway — were plentiful as BU cruised to a lopsided 5-0 win.

Meet Viola!

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing my newest friend, who just so happens to be 6 weeks old — young Viola, whose parents Stephan and Nicolle asked me to capture everything she’s about before she gets too big.

But if our little session was any indication, camera shyness will never be a problem for this young lady.

Ever wonder what it would be like to be worth $1 billion? How about being friends with someone worth $1 billion? Maybe Facebook friends — excuse me, “friends” — with someone worth $1 billion?

Well, the best I got was waiting to photograph Mark Zuckerberg over at his alma mater — is it an alma mater if you drop out? — for a 3-minute press conference during a recruiting trip to Harvard. There’s a few more sitting on the Bloomberg News Wire, who were the kind folks who hired for this gig. But in the ever noble pursuit of shameless self-promotion, have a look here.

And because I spent most of the hour and a half in Harvard Yard waiting around, I had plenty of time to make friends!

Friends!
