Sunday afternoon, I picked up a rare “video only” assignment for the Herald, shooting a companion piece for a column on a group of police officers in Boston’s District B2 who were kicking off a mustache-growing contest to raise money for underprivileged kids to go to summer camp. About 60 officers are taking part in the contest — 30 days from Feb. 13 to grow the best mustache to judged by an impartial judge. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon with a nice group of guys doing something for charity.
