Camped out at the U.S. District Courthouse today, waiting for former Governor Mitt Romney to show up for a wrongful termination case against him. It was the first day of the trial, but Romney didn’t show up.

Oh well. At least it gave me plenty of time to check out the exterior of the building! Here’s some John Adams for you:

Yeah, not a whole lot of foot traffic going on at the courthouse on Marathon Monday. Clearly.

Dance, dance

Photographed some of the Boston Ballet’s studio run through for their production of Sleeping Beauty for a preview story for the Herald. Here’s an image that I really liked from the assignment.

It was kind of a tricky room to work in, with mirrors at the front and huge windows on the side. At least the highlights from the near-perfect 70-degree day outside gave me a somewhat clean background to work with.

I’ve always loved shooting dance, for some reason. I guess it’s the melding of form and motion, movement and action — kind of like sports, but with better-looking subjects! I guess that explains it.
